Question:
Yesterday I took 10mg of oxycodone at about 1:00 pm and another 20mg at
3:00 pm. 30mgs total. Right after I took the last 20mgs I got called
and they said I had 24 hours to get a blood drug test done. So I quit
taking it and started drinking water. Before yesterday the last time I
took oxycodone was about a year ago so build up in my system isnt a
problem. Did I pass? I've talked to 2 of my friends who know this
stuff pretty good and they both said I had a good chance that I passed
cause drugs arent picked up by a blood drug test for long after you
take them. They said had it been a urine screen I probably wouldnt
have passed. And since it was only 30mg one time and I drank a lot of
water I might be good to go. I take hydrocodone also but I have a
prescription for that so I'm good to go. Just wanted some more
opinions. What do yall think?
Answer:
It depends on whether your test differentiates between various opiates. If
there's just one *opiate* test, then of course you will come up positive and
you can attribute it to the hydrocodone.
OTOH, if it's more specific and tests separately for oxycodone, then I'd say
you're busted. But hey, I'm not a doctor or lab technician, so what the
hell do I know?
I do know this: You'd be doing yourself a favor if you just stuck to the
drugs you're supposed to have. I didn't take this advice when it was given
to me (repeatedly), and I'm all screwed up--four years after I stopped
using.
