Question:
know that with injuries and struggles resulting from being Favre's second
target, Robert Brooks may have fallen out of favor to many Packer fans. But
with recent news of his team-first attitude toward his contract
restructuring and injury rehabilitation, I look for Brooks to have a year to
make fans remember the Super Bowl team. Let me refresh your memory, Packer
fans (and others, for deja vu is coming). A Favre bullet to a cutting
Brooks in the middle of the field. A darting, twisting elusion from a
helpless defender. The leaps into the joyous crowd at Lambeau. It will
happen again. Scenes like this along with Freeman's skills make for what
may be a surprisingly glorious return to the top for the Packers. That is
surprising in other's eyes
Answer:
Brooks, IMO, has always been a top-notch person, both inside and out. I
wasn't surprised to hear about his willingness to help the team out by
doing a more incentive laden contract. I really hope he is completely
healthy and will have the kind of season he is capable of, as we saw in
'95 and early '96. That'd be a HUGE boost to the Packers this year
