Question:
Please direct me to where I can hold in my hands (palpable) the evidence
(provable) that Hubbard was brain damaged. If this brain damage occured any
time prior to or at the time of making false statements about his family, it
would be even more useful as a "truth". This truth ought to be more
publicized, if it is true
Answer:
Hubbard's corpse was given only a cursory post-mortem. No examination of his
brain was made. However, chronic alcoholism causes brain damage as does
chronic drug abuse. There are numerous accounts which indicate that LRH was a
long-term substance abuser.
As far as physical trauma to the brain is concerned, he wrote in his own
journals of being hit in the head with a baseball, falling down a 50-foot
cliff, and so on. And for goodness' sake, the guy was breaking broncos at
3-1/2 years of age? Plenty of opportunities to hit one's head at that
occupation. How could his daddy let him take such risks? "Shame on his
family," eh?
