Question:
i read today in my college school newspaper that NIDA is doing a study
right now with provigil. They testing to see if it is effective at
treating people addicted to cocaine. Apparently it blocks the effects
of cocaine if dosed. I know a few here are scripted Provigil (i get it
for narcolepsy), do any of you have any first hand knowledge of this?
Have you dosed it in the day and then tried to get high from a few
rails or a little rock? I hope some of you read this article as it was
very interesting.
by the way i find that provigil is a very wonderful drug that
definitely boosts my memory and enhances my brain functioning. This
stuff should be sold over the counter, because i dont see why it could
be addictive. It doesnt leave that craving for another foil feeling
that meth does. I would rate it better than ritalin, but
methylphenidate sucks anyway. Nothing is as good as straight up
amphetamine, as in adderall. The XR ones suck, but those 20mg "yellow
sunshines" are heaven up your nose
Answer:
I am with Glassprison if you want off coke you just have to stop it and
dont cry about craving what will be absolutely present, but that stops after
a couple of months with me this took six months while in that time enough
hits where offered to me, but i knew one hit and i would be as addicted as
before so i refused, but hell that was difficult, but on the other hand if i
am able to stop a coke addiction then more people can do it you only have to
withstand your own mind who says go and get coke, but say fuck you to your
mind and do something else.
I just refused to let my mind play boss over me and therefor i succeeded,
but if you lack the willpower to do that forget it and provigil well its
good for a hangover and so, but if you want coke you do coke.
Ritalin is already used to try people to stop coke as it also boosts the
dopamine production and the normal speed even more, but coke is coke and in
no way to compare with speed besides the pep effect especially not when you
smoke it or inject it.
Something else what really does not make you feel coke are neuroleptics they
block the dopamine receptors and you can do as much coke as you want, but
will hardly feel it as long as the neuroleptic acts, but it could be of help
when you take a neuro and knowing that using coke will give almost no effect
maybe this does not make you go get coke as its useless, but then you should
take a lot of neuro's and their side effects are not very pleasant so if you
want off coke you just have to stop is that is really the only way.
