Question:
I work in a community hospital consisting of 74 beds. Is it cost effective to implement program management for this size of hospital? If so, how would you group the different specialties? I thank you in advance for your response
Answer:
They implemented program management at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in
Ontario, Canada. There were approximately 300 beds and 60 mid-level
managers last year. There are currently 16 mid-level managers left. The
program was cost effective.
