I am on disability as a result of HIV and feel as if I can return to the
work force. I registered with Califrnia`s Dept of Rehab and it has been
one long nightmare. Any shared experiences? Any info on how I can obtain
legal services pro-bono.

everything approved. And then a lot longer to get the equipment I needed.
sometimes I wondered if it would've been better for me to go a hadn't by the
equipment that I needed -- I probably would have made more money not losing
the wages I couldn't earn because I didn't have the equipment. But if you
have been out for a while, it might be helpful for you to have them show you
have to get back to work with a large employment gap. If at all possible, be
patient. claims do get approved. You might try working with the disability
center at your local university or the Center for Independent Living in your
area.
