My friend told me to watch out for drug tests, since they can take hair
samples, (a strain of hair) and do tests on it. I didn't know if it was
true, and if this technique is actually used. Or am i just smoking pot here?

Hair tests are even more dangerous than the dreaded "whiz quiz". They
are reported as being more accurate and, depending on how much money
they want to spend, can detect usage years back instead of weeks.
