Question:
My friend (seriously it is my friend) failed a drug test for jewel (the
grocery store). she almost never smokes weed (once every couple months) but
she took about 3 or 4 hits from a blunt with me 5 days before a drug test
that she did not know about. I thought she would be ok because of her
infrequency of smoking, but she failed. What are her options at this point?
Do the police really have any power here? Can it be challenged?
Answer:
She denies using and takes another test in 30 days. It is well known that
second hand pot smoke can cause a positive test. next time don't think it
will be okay. It isn't. 30 days to clean your system. Even the big lie
about drinking tomato juice won't change anything but your bathroom habits.
If a heavy duty pot smoker has a drug test coming up, stall for 60 days if
you can. Light smoker, no less than 30 days. If they want to test your
hair, forget it. Any hair you had when you smoked will come back positive.
Considering pot, I think they shouldn't be allowed to test for it except
as a blood test because it leaves that part of your system within 72 hours
or less. It is all about half lives and body weight and how much water one
drinks. I took an extensive drug class to learn all of this and I still
get confused. It couldn't be the pot smoking could it??????
