Question:
Couple of quick questions for those wise in the ways of meth...
I am trying to gather some general information about the mechanics of
meth addiction: How frequently one can get away with casual use without
getting really dependant, timeframe and difficulty of breaking physical
addiction, any non-standard addiction problems to look out for, etc.
While I realize that things like tolerance buildup and addiction are
influanced by everything from body type to genetic factors, some
ballpark ideas would be most helpful.
My situation is this: I recently started using meth casually, usually
every other weekend. I usually go through .5g to .75g in a weekend when
I am using. Vector of choice is IV (Yes I know "casual IV meth user" is
a contradiction in terms, but so far, so good). Any information/advise
you could offer would be greatly appreciated
Answer:
The way I work my use is that I am completely aware of how long it
takes me for my body to recover to a baseline "normal" after I use. I
then have to wait that long to be back at "normal". I also know what
it feels like, in terms of my body, etc. If I do a single line,
average thickness and about two inches long then it takes me a certain
time to "recover". If I do more, it takes longer. I have experimented
and know my body. I generally let myself recover before going into it
again. The key aspect of "addiction" for me is if my use interferes
with my attention to defined "needs" or after an awareness of a need is
formed, using the drug instead of getting the need met. I also have
things that I do when I am "recovering" like drink milk, eat protein,
etc. It's all based on my awareness of my body.
