around 3:30pm. Then took a drug test on Wednesday at 12 noon.......will it
show up?
Answer:
It _will_ show up, actually both methamphetamine and amphetamine will show up
on the drug test. The question _YOU_ are probably interested in is _HOW MUCH_
will show up - that is, will there be enough of a concentration to exceed the
forensic standard, and therefor be reportable as a drug violation.
In your case, you stand a pretty good chance of slipping thru the cracks in
the system. However, it depends on the speed with with you metabolize the drug
and its active (and controlled) metabolize amphetamine. It depends upon how
much you took. It depends upon how quickly you can excrete unchanged compound.
Information: Amphetamines taken with a calcium supplement, or for the
careless, sodium bicarb, disolve better in the stomach when taken together, at
the same time. This is because it is the base form of the drug that is
soluable in the body, and it is the acid form of the drug (sulfate for
dexedrine) that refuses to leave the stomach. I verified this with the PDR,
and learned that in cases of overdose, acidification of the urine will
increase excretion of the drug, and basification will decrease excretion. This
also applies to methamphetamine. Urinary acidification, for example with
Vitamin C or NH4Cl, will increase excretion (and get the stuff out of your
system faster) but will also increase urinary concentration of the drug.
