Question:
I was just reading that you can have a rebound problem with nasal sprays
besides a more congested nose. You can have daily headache. I have had
allergies for years and when nasal spray came out years and years ago, 40 I
suppose, I latched right onto it. Over the years I have become dependent on
it. Spray my nose every night before going to bed whether I need to or not.
You know, I might not be able to breathe.... Also I wouldn't dream of leaving
the house without my Afrin or whatever. I'm afraid I'm and have been for years
addicted. Now I'm wondering if it could be a cause of my headaches to some
degree. At least the much more frequent kind I've been having. May I ask if
any of the rest of you have a "nose drop problem"? Just curious
Answer:
I know folks who have gotten addicted to the act of the nasal spray.
They've gone to using the saline nasal mist. They haven't broken the
act itself (the actual addiction behavior) but the saltwater mist is
easier on system
