Question:
Does anyone know of a website or someone who sells used braces? I know this
may seem like a strange question but I'm having all kinds of problems where
my doctor is concerned. I told her my old braces did not fit anymore so she
sent me to a physical medicine doctor so he could tell me what kind of
braces he recommended. So, I went to see this so called physical medicine
doctor and after seeing him for 5mins he told me I needed to be in those
darn up to your hip metal things that I just despise therefore not allowing
me to be able to drive a car the way I am used to. He won't approve any
other type and my insurance will not pay for what I have been wearing all my
life which is the polypropylene AFO's.
I have driven a car ever since I was 18yrs old and with the kind of braces
they want me in, I would not be independant at all and I hate that. *sigh* I
can't wear my old braces because they are too small so I've been walking
around without them and it's getting very difficult. So if anyone knows
where I can turn to, I'd really appreciate it

to help you get the braces you need.
