Question:
I took some dope (Buffout, I think) in order to beat the new
Reno boxing champ. However, I ended up becoming addicted in
the process.
Can I overcome addiction? Will the side-effects lessen over
time and finally disappear?
If I can't overcome the addiction I'd rather replay the
portion and find another way to become New Reno Champ.
A bit of a side-note: FO2 can be frustrating at times,
because it's so vast and flexible, but I have to say that,
IMHO, it rates as one of the best games I've ever played.
The only game I games I can recall being addicted to in the
same way is X-COM, TFTD and Total Annihilation. Some action
games have certainly been great (SS2 and Unreal come to
mind) but Strategy and RPG are more engrossing to me

I often get stuck addicted to Radaway, which I end up using after
fighting the swarms of floaters and centaurs in the southwestern map
area. As far as I know, addiction will pass over time, if you don't keep
using drugs during that period
