A friend of mine is applying for a job at Sports Authority and was told
he was going to have to take a hair drug test. First, do you think that
they might have been just trying to scare him (considering the high cost
of these tests), and second, if he does have to take it, is there anything
he can do to help him pass it?
Answer:
I have a friend who works for Sports Authority and it's no joke. They
really take a sample of your hair and test it.
There is no way to fake it. Hair samples can provide indication of
drug use that is limited only by the length of your hair. Shaving your
head (not that I'm suggesting it for your friend) is futile. They can use
any hair on your body. And lots of hair on your body dosen't grow as fast
as that on your head.
Obviously Sports Authority is a disgrace and your friend should go
elsewhere for a job.
